Jay Johnson
| Each Cornerstone professional has the

They are experts in acquiring commercial sites and rehabilitating multi-family properties
for rental or condo development, they have an instinct for site
selection, and the skills necessary to design and create a broad range
of single-family homes. The entire team of Cornerstone professionals

Jay Johnson created Cornerstone Residential
Group in October of 2001 to continue the residential development
business he first founded under Cornerstone Investment Group, which had
merged with Urban Residential Group, LLC in early 1998. Johnson has
planned and developed more than $200 million of residential and
commercial property—including affordable multi-family and senior
housing, conventionally financed multi-family housing, construction of
market-rate and affordable single family homes, general contracting, and
construction management. Prior to real estate, Johnson was a marketing specialist for various Chicago companies including Citicorp, Diners Club, United Airlines, and CME Advertising. He holds a BA in Marketing from the University of North Dakota and a Masters in Management Science and Social Psychology from the University of Colorado. Johnson has served on advisory boards for the Chicago Rehab Network, the City of Chicago Department of Housing, and the Metropolitan Planning Commission. |
